Ba-bump, ba-bump.

“Watch out for the speed bumps!” I warn as my sister accelerates across them all–almost catching air as she drives on.

“Come on!” I scold after the third.

A green spot on my sunlight window interrupts my eyeroll. I take a closer look. It is not a spot–not merely a dot.

“It’s some kind of bug,” my sister shrugs.

“No duh, I thought it was a thug.”

The green grasshopper holds on for dear life; its antennae bending in the brisk breeze.

We abruptly halt at the light and off he hops–my happy little hitchhiker. Only one question remains: “Where will he go next?”
