Bottles are being sent out, and people across the globe are starting to see the light at the end of the tunnel of COVID.

Thousands of Michigan’s front-line workers are turning down the COVID-19 vaccine according to Roving Erb and Mike Wilkinson. As of Monday, January 4th, Michigan has had 128,390 vaccines shipped to it. In Wayne County, only a little over half of the responders agree to take the vaccine. Michigan currently has one of the lowest COVID-19 vaccination rates in the country.

Recently, teachers received an email from Dr. Bruce introducing the idea of teachers getting vaccinated. Students are starting to wonder about it too.

Anna Nobouphasavanh, senior at Saint Joseph High School, says she is likely to get vaccinated when it’s released to the general public.

“I don’t really know how it’s going to work, but it makes sense to me,” she said, “but I think front-line workers and at-risk people should be first in line.”

It’s likely the vaccine will be distributed to the general public in the second quarter of 2021.
