LET US INTRODUCE OURSELVES

We are The Wind-Up, Saint Joseph High School’s news magazine.

Our goal is to convey relevant, interesting information for high school and beyond—students telling stories for other students. Founded in the 1930s, The Wind-Up was created and self-funded by the students of Saint Joe who wanted to introduce journalism and news style writing to high schoolers. It initially began as a small group of kids with a big idea, and has since grown to 30+ active staff members with 7 print issues per year, an Eighth grade issue and a literary magazine featuring student art and writing. Our magazines publish monthly updates on life at our school, local news, opinion and culture pieces, humor and more, including the online site you see here. So take off your coat and stay awhile. There’s a lot to look at.
