Q+A with Environmental Club advisor Mr. Gallagher

Club Advisor Mr. Dane Gallagher of the SJHS Environmental Club answered some questions for the Wind-Up to inform us on what the club is all about.

Q: What does your club do?

Mr. G: We recycle the paper bins and have weekly meetings to watch documentaries and discuss the environment.

Q: How does your club add to the community?

Mr. G: We help promote sustainable living!

Q: Why should people be interested in the environmental club?

Mr. G: People should be interested because we only have one Mother Earth! She’s precious and beautiful–we want to keep her that way. Plus, recycling is hella good.

Q: Do you think your club helps its members connect with nature?

Mr. G: Yes, the club supports all members during their recycling journeys by exploring why it’s important.

Q: Why is this club important?

Mr. G: Recycling is good. As is sustainable living and energy production! Go Nuclear!

Q: What perspective can you give as the advisor?

Mr. G: [It’s a] great club, probably the best club at SJHS. It’s full of intelligent and conscientious people who care about others and the Earth.
