Biden Ends Covid Emergency

On May 11, 2023, the Biden administration plans to end the Covid public health emergency issued by Trump. The health emergency was first declared on January 31, 2020, and has been extended multiple times throughout the last three years. The US Senate voted and passed the bill with a 68-23 ruling, and plan to give healthcare workers and businesses time to readjust their safety regulations. While the bill does take away government order, individual decisions remain concerning mask and vaccine mandates. “I’m glad the world is coming back to normal,” Avery Valenti, 10 said, “It’s exciting to be able to do the activities we used to do before Covid.”
