Local: Mason Jar Server Receives $10,000 Tip

Following a $32.43 bill, a customer left a $10,000 tip at the Mason Jar Cafe in Benton Harbor. The man, who wanted to remain anonymous, left the tip to honor his friend after a memorial service. His only request was to share the tip with other workers, so the server did just that. The restaurant attracted national controversy after the server who received the tip was fired a few days later, but The Mason Jar Cafe later released a statement on Facebook saying the firing had nothing to do with the tip.

National: AT&T Outage Leaves Thousands of Users Without Internet

Early on Thursday February 22nd,  thousands of AT&T customers experienced internet outages. Although many people believed it was some sort of cyber attack, it was actually due to an incorrect process used during network expansion. From about 4 AM Est. to 3. PM Est, thousands of service outages were reported by customers, according to CNN. Following the outage, AT&T apologized for any inconvenience and is offering a $5 credit to those affected.

Global: Sweden to Join Nato

Despite decades of neutrality, Sweden joined The North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) on Monday, February 26. Hungary’s parliament approved the move after months of delay making Sweden the 32nd member of NATO, a military alliance that is supporting Ukraine in the defense against Russia.
