Curious Kids museum to relocate to the Heritage Museum.

Following an electrical fire in July 2022, the Curious Kids Museum has continued to endure struggles to return to its former operational capacities. The Curious Kids Museum building was shut down and most operations moved towards the Curious Kid’s Discovery Zone located near the carousel. Although the fire did not cause substantial damage to the structure of the building, fighting the fire destroyed almost half of the exhibits. In 2023, Executive Director Lori Marciniak unveiled plans for a possible expansion, the plans were stalled following the City of Saint Joseph’s refusal to sell the building to the museum. Marcinek recently revealed the museum's plans on purchasing and relocating to the Heritage Museum at 601 Main Street. Although no official date for opening at the new location has been announced, the Heritage Museum Organization plans to relocate to their new venue in early 2025.

CDC links McDonalds to E. Coli outbreak across 13 states.

McDonalds is in the spotlight following an E. Coli outbreak in its staple Quarter Pounder burger. The source of the outbreak was linked to the onions inside the Quarter Pounder supplied by Taylor Farms. As of writing 90 individuals across 13 states in the country have been infected with E. Coli of which 27 have been hospitalized. McDonalds took action by serving Quarter Pounders without onions till “further notice.” According to CNBC “around 900 locations will serve the Quarter Pounder without slivered onions for the foreseeable future.” The Center for Disease Control (CDC) described the outbreak "low risk“ due to “the product actions taken by McDonald's and Taylor Farms.” The likelihood of coming in contact with these contaminated onions is very low.” Despite their swift damage control, the company now faces a potential class action lawsuit with damages exceeding 5 million dollars if pursued. “I don’t eat that much at McDonalds but when I heard about the outbreak it was kind of shocking, McDonalds is a big company so mistakes like that are a big deal.” said Erick Muniz, 10.

As the Russo-Ukrainian war heads towards three years, it has now faced a significant development. The war, which started on February 22, 2022 has been limited to direct fighting between Russia and Ukraine while both sides have received substantial support in weapons and supplies from their respective allies. On October 28, North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) Secretary General Mark Rutte confirmed reports that North Korean troops were fighting alongside Russian troops inside of Ukraine. Rutte estimated that around 10,000 North Korean troops have been deployed and that NATO was “actively consulting within the alliance, with Ukraine, and with our Indo-Pacific partners.” The North Korean Government has continuously denied claims of any involvement in trade of arms and military involvement in Russia’s war with Ukraine. Secretary of Defense Lloyd Austin cited his concern at a press meeting in Rome, Italy "That is a very, very serious issue and it will have impacts not only in Europe, it will also impact things in the Indo-Pacific as well,"
