LIKE MANY OTHER SENIORS, I RAN AN END OF THE YEAR COUNTDOWN.

At any given time I could tell you how many days were left of school. I wished away my high school days, and looked at high school as a mandatory four years that everyone had to give up. I didn’t see their full importance until they were unexpectedly snatched away from me.

On the flip side, I realize that High School drew me closer to who I actually am. I found my music. I found my friends. I found my goals. Walking into high school as a freshman, I thought I had most of it figured out. However, somehow, I walked out of highschool headed in a completely different direction. Not to mention the completely different appearance and much changed mindset.

Use the time to explore yourself, make new friends, listen to other political ideas, set new goals. I guarantee four years at SJHS will shape you into someone totally different than who you were when you arrived. Trust me, just let it do its work–chances are the changes will be for the better.

“Someday, everything will make perfect sense. So for now, laugh at the confusion, smile through the tears, be strong and keep reminding yourself that everything happens for a reason.”
