WHEN THEY SAY HIGH SCHOOL WILL FLY BY, THEY DIDN’T LIE.
I remember walking through the high school doors for the first time and trying to figure out my locker and where to sit at lunch. It’s still fresh in my mind. But honestly the rest is a blur. Looking back on high school, I wish I would’ve done a lot of things differently. I wish I would’ve gone to more basketball games, not stressed about solving derivatives, and joined a play. But all I can say now is, “I wish I would have…” I want to advise all underclassmen to leave high school with the least number of regrets possible. This is your four years to explore who you are and find out what you like to do. It’s a time to push the limits, and adventure into the unknown. If you want to focus on art instead of biology, do that. If you want to focus on physics instead of soccer, do that. This is your time to be you.
Finally, I want to thank all of the St. Joe staff. Thank you for constantly supporting the students and always being there when we need you. You teach us not only educational topics, but you teach us life lessons that will last a lifetime. We have matured us into young adults who are ready to take on the world. Thank you for the greatest 12 years of my life, you are all heroes.
