Girls Varsity Soccer Awarded District Championship Trophy

On June 1, the girls varsity soccer team attended districts held at the Paw Paw high school. After a win of 1-0 against Vicksburg, the girls make their way to district regionals facing Lakeshore. “I didn't have to stop as many goals as I thought I was gonna have to” Cailyn Junk, 11, said, winning the first round.

Making their way to district regionals on June 5, “I was honestly really excited for this game but I was also very scared to face our rivals,” Ayana Harris, 9, said. This was her first time playing on the varsity team, having been brought up from the JV team for districts. Winning 1-0 against Lakeshore with 1 minute remaining in the 2 round of overtime the St Joseph varsity girls soccer team became the district champions.
