As many of you know, today, November 12, 2020, will be parent/teacher conferences. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these conferences cannot proceed in a face-to-face manner, however, there is a virtual protocol for these conferences to happen. Since this is a virtual event, teachers won’t be able to talk to each parent as they’d originally planned.

This event is primarily focused on students who’ve received lower grades. "We are going to prioritize parent conferences with those students who may be struggling in courses right now.  Any student/parent with a C- or lower will be hearing from your teachers to set up a virtual meeting or phone conference prior to Thursday 11/12.” Stated Mr. Greg Blomgren, SJHS principal, in an email sent to parents.

Although this event is geared towards students with a C- or lower, parents can still attend conferences if their children have A’s and B’s. If you plan to attend conferences–make sure to join using your student’s school Google account. If you’re unsure if you need to show up for conferences, check your school email account to see if you’ve been requested by a teacher to come.
