People 16+ Eligible for Covid Vaccine
Governor Gretchen Whitmer announced Michiganders 16 and older will be eligible to receive the COVID vaccine beginning April 5. By allowing people 16 and older to be vaccinated the state hopes to reach its goal of having 70 percent of its residents vaccinated. Although more people are able to be vaccinated, Michigan.gov states in an online update, “providers are still encouraged to schedule appointments and allocate vaccinations to residents based on highest risk, including older residents, essential workers, and frontline workers.”
