What are your plans after high school?
I plan on going to a 4-year university to study math or science related things on a pre-med track. I guess my top choice right now is Brown University, but those decisions don't come out until late March or early April, so I'm just waiting. I was accepted into the College of LSA and Residential College for biomedical science at U of M, and I would be more than happy to go there.
What did you enjoy most about high school?
Honestly, just how much more independent I feel. Especially after I got my driver's license junior year, I've really enjoyed the freedom to do whatever I'm interested in. I can go to football games and hang out with my friends without worrying about if my parents have time to drive me. I have a job now, and I'm glad I can plan stuff around my own schedule. Also, I think there are just a lot more options that appeal to a lot of people's interests in high school.
If you could have anything in the world, what would it be, and why?
More self-confidence. Not just the type that would let me say my ideas without fear of people not agreeing with me, but also the confidence to know what I want in life. I want to be able to have a purpose that drives me towards a fulfilling and enjoyable life.
Who has influenced you the most, and why?
My older brother, Fangbo, has been my biggest influence. He's 8 years, or 9 grades, older than me. Basically all my elementary teachers, and a lot of other teachers throughout school knew Fangbo before me. He was definitely someone I looked up to growing up, and a lot of my personality comes from him. I went to so many of his tennis matches and orchestra concerts and violin recitals, so I decided to play tennis and violin in second grade. And now we do both of those activities together, which is fun. He always made time for me, which I'll forever appreciate.

What are your plans after high school?
It is my hope to finish Early Middle College and further my education at MSU to pursue a degree in teaching.
What did you enjoy most about high school?
I enjoy the community of the high school with all the sports and clubs.
If you could have anything in the world, what would it be, and why?
I wish I could have a time machine to go back in time and meet my grandfather.
Who has influenced you the most, and why?
My older sister has most definitely impacted me because I have spent more time with her than anyone else.
