Claire Caplea (she/her)

Claire Caplea, 12, describes her style as “cowgirl vibes.” Claire likes to shop at places like Urban Outfitters, small boutiques, and more. Most often, she shops at Free People. 

“Free People is definitely my favorite place to shop because their stuff lasts so long and their colors and fabrics are really unique,” she said. Claire likes to follow her cowgirl style by wearing flare jeans and boots, and she finds her inspiration on Instagram or Pinterest. 

When shopping for clothes, she looks for greens, rusts, dark blues, and purples—or any jewel tone that complements her skin and vibrant hair.  

“I love to look for jeans with embroidery or fun colored jeans and then pair them with a more neutral top,” she said. Claire styles her hair to accompany her outfit saying, “Accessorizing my hair with clips, bows, or unique styles is one of my favorite ways to vamp up a dull outfit.”

Kaitlyn Flick (she/her)

Kaitlyn Flick, 10, takes her fashion inspiration from the world around her, and occasionally her grandma's closet. 

“I like Hollister for jeans because they have a lot of different types like straight cut and dad jeans which is all I wear,” said Kaitlyn. She also creates her own clothes by knitting, crocheting, or sewing from Youtube tutorials and Pinterest. 

Accessorizing with little necklaces, Kaitlyn edits her jewelry often. “I usually just change out the pendant on one chain daily to match the rest of my jewelry, and I buy the pendants from random places like craft stores and independent businesses.”
