A World of Cinema: Top Ten Movies of 2022

All eyes were on filmmakers this year, as 2022 represents the first year since the pandemic lockdown that theaters are seating people at total capacity. As a result, many films were no longer released on streaming platforms; instead, you had to leave your house and venture to the cinema. This led to the box office booming, with two movies that made over a billion dollars worldwide: Top Gun: Maverick and Jurassic World Dominion. Amy Garretson, 9, prefers watching movies at the theatre because “it makes watching a movie an experience; you get to sit comfortably and immerse yourself with a big screen and surround sound.”
