Snow falls on St. Joseph High School.

SJPS granted the first snow day of the 2020-2021 school year for the district last Friday, February 5, but no further days off have been given, despite worse weather conditions being reported Monday.

The temperature for the St. Joseph area Friday, according to the Weather Channel, was a high 20 degrees Fahrenheit, with a low of 15 degrees Fahrenheit. This is higher than Monday’s temperatures, with a high of 17 degrees Fahrenheit and a low of 13 degrees Fahrenheit.

Many events happened within our school district which could have been extra motivation for the day off, including that it was concurrently the last day of Superintendent Dr. Thomas Bruce after his resignation announcement.
