The College Board dropped the essay for the SAT

A student taking a test, students won’t be taking the SAT essay after June 2021.

The College Board is dropping the essay from the SAT. According to the College Board, the essay will no longer be issued after June 2021. College board cites the reason as being “Because SAT Subject Tests are used internationally for a wider variety of purposes.” Students already signed up for Essay tests before June 2021 will still be able to take the test as planned.
