Girls Soccer Recap

The girls soccer teams ended with a winning season. The  JV went 10-3-1 and varsity was 8-3-3 after a 5-0 loss to Plainwell in Districts.

JV and varsity made many memories this season.

"My favorite memory was scoring the game-winning goal against Gull Lake," Jillian Conybeare, 9 said.

Varsity came back to secure a win against Gull lake.

"My favorite memory from this season was beating Gull Lake. It was absolutely freezing outside— sleeting and maybe 30 degrees. I could hardly move; it was so cold, but both teams (JV and Varsity) were able to pull through and get the 2-1 W. It was even better to beat them at their home field," Clara Berry, 11, said.

The JV coach was very impressed with this year's team.

"Soccer this spring brought new challenges to our team. How to grow, bond, and win as a team. In the end, we played hard and we had a good time; there's nothing better than that!" Coach Kristin Schomaker added.
