JV Boys Soccer Comes To a Close

The JV soccer team's record came out to 9-8-2. “Prior to the season, the boys set 4 team goals,” Mr. Colin Uren said. “We accomplished 4 out of the 5 of those goals.” The only goal the team didn’t complete was beating Lakeshore, which instead ended in a 1-1 tie.

Although they didn’t lose many games, the team felt like there was definitely room for improvement.

“The thing we could improve upon is converting some of those ties into wins. It was nice not to lose but in the future, I'd like to see us win some of those games we tied,” Mr. Uren said.

Most of the people on the team were freshmen, so getting adjusted to high school sports was definitely a change for them.

“It was a lot of work, but it was a great experience being on the team,” Reece Crawford, 9 said.

Overall Coach Uren felt like the season was a success because the boys learned more about soccer and more about life in general.
